What’s new in November?

What's New - November

Updated on by Hayley Brown

With shorter days and long to-do lists, November has plenty of momentum, and we’ve been channeling it into thoughtful product improvements. Check out our latest product update, our improved performance and security, the latest integration news and discover how Cyclr can be used to create a custom record when working with Oracle Netsuite and ERP integrations.

  • We’ve rolled out updates that streamline file handling in our FTP Connector.
  • Expanded tools for Private Instance admins.
  • Reinstated familiar Cyclr API behaviors.
  • Boosted overall performance and stability across the platform.
  • See what’s new in our Connector library.

And much more!

Product Spotlight

  • FTP Connector updated
    • Cyclr now always includes the full file path when listing files on a server using the FTP Connector, even when TLS Session Reuse is enabled, providing visibility over file locations.
  • Private Cyclr Instances: Updated Admin Area
    • A new “Go to Admin” shortcut has been added under the “User” menu shown in the top right of your Console.
    • A new search function under Tools > Cycle Search allows you to find items such as Cycles, Webhooks or Transactions with their identifiers.

Improved Performance and Security

Cyclr API

  • We have made updates to align Cyclr API behavior with existing integrations and to improve consistency across a range of use cases.
  • The Cyclr API now accepts previously recognized Content-Type values and defaults to interpreting the Request Body as application/json if no Content-Type header is provided.
  • Responses from the Cyclr API “POST /oauth/token” endpoint, used to obtain a Cyclr API Token, include the .refresh, .issued, and .expires properties to provide clear information about the token lifecycle.

GitHub Integration

  • Dates for Templates pushed to GitHub now deliver consistent “Last Updated” dates, successfully interpreting legacy and varied commit date formats instead of displaying “Unknown.”

Generate Setup Token

  • When using the Generate Setup Token feature to request authentication for an installed Connector, Cyclr now shows both Account Users and Console Users, making it easier to choose who should complete authentication.

Custom Connectors

  • You can now create Triggers with numeric-only names, such as “123”, for Custom Connectors.

View Rate Limits

  • Improved performance of the Connector Rate Limits page so it now loads more quickly.

Embedding

  • LAUNCH and Marketplaces iframes have been restored to allow browsers to share existing cookies with authentication popups, so embedded OAuth Connector sign-in flows continue to run smoothly.

You’ll find all the latest updates and highlights in this month’s Release Notes .

Video Spotlight: Build API Driven Business Processes

Accurate inventory and pricing data only delivers value when partners can access it securely. This month, our technical advocate Wilson walks through building a business API that lets external systems request product availability and retail prices in real time.

Wilson uses a webhook trigger, Shopify and Oracle NetSuite data, and synchronous response to return a structured JSON payload containing location specific inventory and pricing. Wilson also covers activating the workflow, testing it with Postman, and adding simple conditional logic to handle edge cases such as unavailable locations or custom error messages.

Blog Spotlight: Why we also love n8n: Powerful, Flexible, but Not a Silver Bullet: Part 1

In the world of enterprise integration platforms, n8n occupies an interesting position: part low-code workflow engine, part customizable orchestration framework, part developer tool. It has gained traction precisely because it offers more freedom and flexibility than many black-box automation systems and yet, it is not without real trade-offs. In recent years, they’ve harnessed the power of large language models and AI SaaS applications.

Cyclr vs. n8n

In this comparison we are going to be looking at 4 criteria, Connectivity, Orchestration, Integration Delivery and Costing Strategy. In Part 1 we dive into Connectivity and Orchestration
